The earlier, the better! Avid racing fans will book their accommodation in Saratoga Springs as early as January or February. What are the dates for the Saratoga racing season?

The 2020 Saratoga racing meet is scheduled to begin on Thursday, July 16 and end on Monday, September 7. *Please note: Dates have not been finalized due to COVID-19 pandemic. What is the Saratoga race track schedule?

During the meet, races are held every day apart from Mondays and Tuesdays. The gates usually open at 11:00 am and post time for the first race is 1:00 pm. There are usually 10 races a day with anywhere from 5-12 horses in the race. Learn more about a typical day at the Saratoga Race Track here.

Is there a dress code at Saratoga?

Yes and no! Dress codes at the track depend on where you choose to sit. The Club House restaurants tend to be dressiest areas, and it is not unusual to see wide-brimmed hats, fancy fascinators, ties, and blazers.
