The Best Shopping in Saratoga Springs: Specialty Gifts, Fashion, and More

We’re known for “Health, History, and Horses,” but the shopping in Saratoga Springs is also second to none! From browsing unique specialty stores to window-shopping on Broadway, there’s no shortage of retail therapy to do around here. You’ll find leather riding boots, handcrafted jewelry, collectible art, high-end apparel, and more — all available within minutes of our downtown Saratoga Arms hotel.

So, what are you looking for? Let us guide you in exploring the best shopping in Saratoga Springs.

Clothing and accessories

Our first stop for timeless apparel has to be the neighboring shops Lifestyles and Caroline & Main. These boutiques are well-known local icons, offering elevated, modern styles for women. Both carry curated collections of stylish clothing, jewelry, and accessories.

Even closer to home, our next-door neighbor can outfit you in the perfect look for race day. Visit Saratoga Trunk for high-end designer apparel and accessories, including statement-making hats and elegant fascinators.

Another shop we love is Saratoga Saddlery. Just across the street from our Saratoga Arms hotel, this boutique specializes in all things equestrian chic. The Saddlery is known for their Italian leather — they’re also the largest dealer of Western boots in the Northeast, and carry boots for men, women, and children.

Toys and gifts

When we think of gift shopping in Saratoga Springs, we head straight to Impressions. Impressions boasts the largest collection of Saratoga themed sportswear, memorabilia, and souvenirs. You’ll also find locally made food products, gifts, jewelry, and a large collection of horse themed items.

You’ll find a treasure trove of local gift shops and art galleries within the nearby Saratoga Marketplace. Our favorite of these shops is Pangea, with their wonderful collection of greeting cards and unique gifts.

Don’t forget about the kiddos! G. Willikers is a classic toy store with true nostalgic charm. This whimsical, welcoming shop is full of toys, games, puzzles, and crafts. To find something special for your own little one, just ask any of the friendly shop “Elves” for assistance.

Art, crafts, and handmade items

Another Saratoga Marketplace favorite is PaperDolls. Best known for their paper products, you’ll find all sorts of stationery items inside — they also do custom print orders.

For more handmade items, head to Crafters Gallery. This downtown Saratoga Springs shopping staple offers jewelry and artwork crafted by local artisans. They also specialize in high-quality framing of art, as well as collectibles, bouquets, and more.

Also found on Broadway, Silverado Jewelry Gallery features handmade jewelry from over 40 artisans. We also love the uniquely Saratoga jewelry pieces made at deJonghe’s custom jewelry studio and gallery.

Bookstores

An easy way to shop local in Saratoga Springs is to visit an independent bookstore. Northshire Bookstore is a family-run independent bookstore with an extensive children’s collection. They also host many author events and signings throughout the year.

Both bibliophiles and history lovers should also head to Lyrical Ballad. Why? Well, we don’t want to give it all away, but it’s much more than a used bookstore. Housed inside a former bank, the old vault doors conceal multiple hidden rooms and underground secrets. You’ll just have to visit and see for yourself!

Pantry and homewares

If you want to recreate the feeling of Saratoga Springs at home, head to Silverwood Home & Gallery. This chic homewares shop features furnishings and home décor that perfectly captures the Saratoga Americana vibe. Think “equestrian chic” mixed with a little bit of the English countryside. Here you’ll find furniture, fine art, and accessories to bring a bit of our region home with you.

Fans of Saratoga Springs style will also love the region’s flavors. Venture across the street from our hotel and into Saratoga Olive Oil Company to sample over 60 flavors of olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and exotic sea salts.

For more gourmet goods, Savory Pantry features hand-selected, small batch specialty foods sourced from all over the country. If it’s something sweet you’re after, slip into Saratoga Tea & Honey. Their retail shop has a fantastic tea and honey tasting bar as well as an impressive line of organic and fine tea, herbal infusions, tea accessories, local raw honey and pottery.
